There may be various reasons for choosing a civil wedding rather than a church wedding: you and your partner may not have religious beliefs, one or both of you may have been married previously or perhaps you may just prefer the simpler and more informal civil ceremony.

A change in the law in 1995 means that getting married in a Register Office is not the only alternative to a church wedding and there is a choice of venues for your special day.

We are pleased to announce that we are licensed to hold civil weddings at Bishops Court Hotel, and for those not wanting to or who are unable by law to legally marry we offer commitment ceremonies.

The ceremony is conducted by the Official Registrar and there are attractive locations within Bishops Court Hotel where the ceremony may be held.
